Sip Wine Bar at Empire Damansara: Review

Sip lives up to its name, serving value-for-money wine buffets every evening – it’s an unbeatable bargain; customers can enjoy up to 20 different wines nightly (except Tuesdays) at only RM64 nett per person, from 5pm through 1am.

There’s No Catch

There’s no catch to this: When we visited, the bottles were ready & waiting on the counter, with a diverse range of reds – from Chilean to South African to Australian – calling out to us, while the whites were calmly chilling in ice buckets. Glasses are supplied to customers; whenever you finish a glass, simply return to the counter & pour yourself more of whatever you like.

We enjoyed getting well-acquainted with Sip’s Malbec, Pinotage & Shiraz, plus a Sauvignon Blanc with vivacious flavours of fresh pineapple. That line sure rings true here – “Years, lovers & glasses of wine; these three things should never be counted.”

Food is Available

Hot food is available – a crowd-pleasing Western variety of sharing platters that span chicken nuggets (RM18), cheese pizzas (RM18), nachos, pasta & more, alongside a solid range of Asian favourites (available Mon-Fri only) such as petai mee hoon (RM20) & sambal fried rice (RM20). Besides the daily wine bonanza, other alcohol promos are also offered – Mondays are dedicated to a free flow of Carlsberg beer; Fridays & Saturdays bring discounts on whiskies.
