Sazerac Spirits Land in Malaysia

A curated selection of premium American and international spirits from the award-winning Sazerac portfolio has officially arrived in Malaysia, thanks to an exclusive partnership with Single & Available Whisky.

Malaysia’s spirits landscape is poised for a shake-up with the official debut of the Sazerac portfolio, now available exclusively through Single & Available Whisky Malaysia. Announced on May 26, the move brings an impressive array of celebrated labels—from iconic bourbons and rye to artisanal tequila, mezcal, rum, and bitters—into the hands of local enthusiasts for the first time.

At the forefront of the release is the Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, a globally renowned whiskey with over 200 years of heritage. Produced by the highly decorated Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, the bourbon is recognised for its depth, smoothness, and classic American character. It is joined by the bold and spicy Sazerac Rye Whiskey—an essential ingredient in the classic Sazerac cocktail—and the 1792 Small Batch Bourbon, which offers a balance of assertive flavour and refined finish.

Speaking about the launch, Shareen Yew, founder of Single & Available Whisky Malaysia, highlighted the significance of the addition to Malaysia’s premium spirits offerings. “Buffalo Trace Distillery represents the pinnacle of American whiskey-making,” she said. “Just as essential is the legendary Sazerac Rye, a foundational spirit in the cocktail world. We’re thrilled to finally make it available in Malaysia.”

Other noteworthy entrants in the Sazerac line-up include the Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Bourbon—praised for its uncommon complexity—and a premium selection of agave spirits under the Corazón Tequila and Los Vecinos Mezcal labels. The Corazón Single Estate range, featuring Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo expressions, is made from 100% blue agave grown and distilled in Mexico’s Jalisco Highlands. Meanwhile, Los Vecinos Mezcal delivers craft integrity with varietals including Espadin, Ensamble, and the sought-after Tobala.

Beyond whiskey and agave spirits, Sazerac’s offering includes Wheatley Vodka, created by Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley at Buffalo Trace, as well as the refined Jung & Wulff Luxury Rums and Jamaica’s heritage-rich Myers’s Rum. Rounding out the range are essential cocktail components like Regans’ Orange Bitters and Peychaud’s Bitters—the latter being a staple for bartenders and the original bitter used in the Sazerac cocktail itself.

Sazerac’s entry into Malaysia comes at a time of growing appreciation for craft spirits and cocktail culture. The Kentucky-based distiller, with its sprawling global presence, counts over 500 labels in its portfolio. Brands such as Weller, Southern Comfort, Fireball, and The Last Drop Distillers fall under the Sazerac umbrella, along with several renowned distilleries in the US, France, Ireland, and India.

Single & Available’s exclusive partnership provides local access to a curated selection of these premium spirits through its online platform, physical retail store in Bangsar Shopping Centre, and a network of premium bars and restaurants nationwide. The well-known distributor, which has been active in Malaysia since 2000, already carries an enviable range of niche and heritage brands and now adds a significant feather to its cap with the Sazerac alliance.
