Villa Danieli is an Italian restaurant in the form of a standalone trattoria on level five of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur. That’s the same floor as the hotel’s pool, which makes Villa Danieli the perfect place for a lunch nip by the water. Last Sunday, we hopped over to try the restaurant’s Mamma Mia Sunday Brunch.
Our meal started with a bread basket. There were olive, onion, and tomato varieties, as well as some breadsticks. Olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette mixtures were available for dipping.
The brunch is made of two parts – the appetiser buffet line and an à la carte menu of main dishes, of which guests can enjoy unlimited orders. The buffet line included Italian classics like a selection of cheese, crackers, and dried fruit; pasta salads, pizzas, roast lamb and beef; and some seafood on ice. There were oysters, prawns, mussels, and crabs. For our mains, we had the Beef short ribs, Seafood risotto, Grilled octopus, and the Lamb shank. The restaurant was nice enough to treat us to some virgin pina coladas, too.

Priced at RM123 nett per adult and RM61.50 per child, the Mamma Mia Sunday Brunch is available from 11am – 3pm every Sunday.
