Vegetarian Japanese fare, artfully presented, as this restaurant’s name suggests – the sashimi is the most striking (RM17), looking much like sliced raw salmon and tuna at first glance. Flavours and textures are fairly well-executed here, from mock ‘unagi’ temaki (RM5.90), to ‘egg’ mayo sushi (RM3.90) to caterpillar avocado maki (RM9.90); sure, in the end, everything tastes a tad more spongy than muscular, but even the curry ‘chicken’ katsu rice (RM12.90) wouldn’t be a terrible bet for meatless Mondays.
