It’s definitely a dog-eat-dog world out there, but here inside OUG’s latest cafe, the innocent bliss of puppy love prevails.

Hangout at The Hound and Meet a Dog Named Cookie

Cookie, a charming four-year-old beagle with an inquisitive love for humans, will welcome visitors to The Hound, a hangout that’s hopelessly devoted to dogs, with canine portraits galore on the walls. It’s a lovely space that feels deeply personal & deftly put together; we particularly like the colourful stained-glass window shutters that look out on the bustling neighbourhood.

“The name’s Cookie – ask about me!” Feel free to bring your own poodles or pugs here too, as long as they’re well-behaved.

What to Expect

The Hound’s founder, Donna, has been a home baker for the past year (you’ll know her if you’ve ordered from My Patisserie), so it’s natural that her own-made cakes – from carrot to red velvet, passion fruit cheese to chocolate – form the foundation for the cafe’s current soft launch. Warm meals should be available eventually; there’s woof-worthy coffee right now, but we’re looking forward to some upcoming liquor-laced caffeine beverages that The Hound’s amiable team is still experimenting with.
