Yoshino Sushi at Bangsar South: Restaurant Review
On our sushi-loving itinerary: Yoshino, a slightly more casual restaurant at Bangsar South’s Wisma Life Cafe.
Mentaiko
Mentaiko fans can opt for salmon mentai sushi (RM8) & tamago mentai (RM6); both lack the melt-in-the-mouth magnificence of the most excellent versions out there, but neither is truly lacklustre. Enjoyable enough for the price, all things considered.
Maki
Eel & avocado thickly laid on top, crab sticks & cucumber nicely stuffed in the middle – a maki that’s easy to like. RM25.
Pasta with Soft-Shell Crab
Ditto for the pasta with crisp soft-shell crab & creamy poached egg. Can’t-fail combo, in terms of triumphant textural contrasts.
