A bakery-cafe with close clinical ties: Located smack across the road from University Malaya Medical Center, Bread Of Life is operated by the same folks who run Harvey’s Cafe at Penang’s Gleneagles Medical Center.

An Assortment of Baked Goods

Bread loaves, sandwiches, croissants and cakes, not all them healthy-looking, but many with plenty of seeds and nuts nevertheless.

Cream Puffs

Cream puffs taste satisfactory too, impossible to gripe about.

Tarts to Take Away

Walnut and almond tarts, packed tightly for takeaway, and cheese tarts that look fairly fresh.Cranberry apple tarts, bountifully brimming with sticky-sugary fruits.Business hours haven’t been finalized, but it’s safe to head here on weekdays before 6pm.

Warm Meals Available

The nasi lemak’s not bad, though it won’t haunt us.

Juices

Carrot juice to round up a meal that surely won’t land us in the hospital.
