Review: WIP on the Park
April 28th, 2025
Project B is a new eatery that encapsulates the soul of social enterprise – it marks the first F&B initiative by Malaysia’s Dignity For Children foundation, which has worked for the past 12 years to help underprivileged children break the cycle of poverty. At Project B, all proceeds go to the foundation’s education & training programmes; read more about Dignity For Children here.
This has the feel of a real neighbourhood space, brightly lit & crowd-friendly, with office workers from nearby strolling in for lunch & residents from elsewhere in Sentul stopping by for dinner. Project B is staffed mainly by older students from Dignity For Children – part of an effort to equip them with work experience & skills. An energetic team, enthusiastic to learn & please.
The focus for food is fried chicken – customers can have fun trying three varieties: The ‘Signature Crunch,’ two pieces of crispy buttermilk-coated chicken with chicken-salt crinkle fries & coleslaw; the Malaysian hot-&-spicy berempah with flavourful nasi lemak; or the Korean sweet-&-sticky with kimchi jjigae stew (each set is RM15 with a soft drink). Chicken wings are also available, with a buffalo or a Thai-inspired sauce. All coffee is RM6 per cup, whether you have an iced latte or a local ‘Kopi B.’
