Grind 22 is a charming hidden spot with a shrewdly breezy set-up that keeps the temperature cool throughout – even when we visited on a sultry evening – while preserving the ambiance of an alfresco hangout. The bounty of natural light ensures that throngs of camera-devoted cafe disciples will make photo-intensive pilgrimages to Grind 22 across the next several weeks.

A kitchen might launch later, but for now, Grind 22 serves sweet treats that range from Purple Monkey’s frozen mini-cheesecakes (with flavours like Toblerone Dark Chocolate, Blueberry, Peaches & Mango) to CuppyCatCake’s Malteser-topped ‘Fancy Pants’ cheesecakes, Victoria Sandwich strawberry sponge cakes & peanut butter chocolate cakes.
