The Japanese curry scene is heating up in the Klang Valley, with an increasing number of restaurants that specialise in this comfort-food offering from the Land of the Rising Sun.
Japan’s biggest curry rice restaurant chain has finally embarked on its first Malaysian foray, sticking to a tried-&-tested formula – customers can customise their curries by selecting toppings, rice quantities, sauce quantities & spice levels (1 is ‘medium hot,’ 5 is ‘crazy hot’)

Keen to curry favour, Shokudo opened this year, run by a band of Malaysians who have a yen for karē served with everything from tonkatsu to tori kara-age, buta yakiniku to ebifurai, korokke to omuretsu.
