The menu essentially showcases multiple varieties of honey toasts, pancakes and waffles – signatures include the Yin & Yang, a two-in-one thick combo of charcoal and classic toast, blanketed with soft meringue, partnered with meringue sticks, dragon fruit balls, cookies-and-cream ice cream and dark chocolate (RM27.90), and the Red Velvet, a pancake stack layered with tangy lemon mousse, topped with hokey pokey ice cream and encircled with caramel sauce (RM25.90).

The toast could benefit from better butter and cleaner, more natural flavours, and the pancakes could be fluffier and fresher, but all in all, Shugatori is a cheerful place, and its hard-working founders clearly hope patrons will leave this origami bird-loving hangout on a happy high.
