Flying fish and Pacific saury sashimi (RM30 and RM40 respectively), alongside sushi draped with everything from salmon to yellowtail and amberjack: Jo’s Market is a reasonably pleasant stop for a Japanese meal of seafood.
The produce proves satisfactory, the setting is inviting, service is helpful, and both sake and wine are available, the latter by both bottles and glasses. Bonus tip: After you’ve finished the Pacific saury sashimi, have its head and bones fried to a pleasurable crisp at no extra cost.
