Review: WIP on the Park
April 28th, 2025
Nifty nook for TTDI’s residents to saunter in, sit back, sip, slurp & snack.
Salads & light bites straddle the menu (with few pickles or figs in sight), but made-to-order sandwiches occupy the place of pride, from hot-pressed panini (RM19) with beef pastrami, rotkraut red cabbage, mozzarella, Russian dressing & infused oils …
… to ciabatta (RM15) crammed with coronation chicken (a mayo-based recipe from Queen Elizabeth II’s 1953 ascension banquet), caramelized onions, raisins & alfalfa sprouts. Other sandwiches include ones stuffed with hummus, portobello mushrooms & more
Copious carbs: hand-cut, triple-cooked, steamy-chunky potato wedges.
Pickle & Fig flows with creative juices. Smoothies here are supremely satisfying; love this thicker-than-milkshakes, tastier-than-protein-shakes blend of avocado, dates, milk & yogurt.
Goji-rawrr! Wolfberries, strawberries, apple, pineapple & yogurt combine for a dairy-fruity delight.
Prices seem suburb-suitable, with no sandwich breaching RM20 before taxes.
