Damansara Uptown is drawing diverse new dessert parlours – the one with the most buzz is Miru, a friendly stop that serves satisfyingly thick Shibuya-style honey toasts, with warm, lightly crisp exteriors that yield to a fresh-tasting, buttery fluffiness, in varieties like shredded cheddar cheese with vanilla ice cream (RM16), pandan kaya with coconut flakes & coconut ice cream (RM16), hazelnut sauce with Ferrero Rocher & vanilla ice cream, matcha sauce with adzuki beans & green tea ice cream, & peanut butter with vanilla ice cream. Undeniably guilty indulgences, but the calories feel entirely enjoyable.
