Aroi Mak Mak does a decent job at conveying clean, clear Thai flavours, imbued with ingredients that taste respectably fresh and nuanced.

Our lunch here was a cornucopia of well-portioned crowd-pleasers – pomelo salad with prawns (RM25), tom yam filled with assorted seafood (RM30), tenderly gelatinous stewed pork leg (RM30), a light pineapple curry chicken (RM23) and fried vegetable ferns with garlic (RM15), each executed with an easy confidence that’s the hallmark of a capable restaurant.
