Tampopo Cafe at Bandar Menjalara: Snapshot

Carb attack: This new neighbourhood cafe is a cosy stop for snacking on finger food like piping-hot pumpkin wedges (RM9) and French fries (RM7.50) – but save space for dessert.

The chocolate dome is soft and sumptuous, infused with Hennessy Cognac and laced within with ripe bananas (RM18.90), while the purple sweet potato Mont Blanc makes for a pleasantly well-executed twist on the chestnut cream cake (RM14.90). Balance the meal with a cold-pressed blend of beetroot and green apples (RM13).
