Review: WIP on the Park
April 28th, 2025
Staked out by swimmers and suntan-seekers, this idyllic poolside cafe primarily caters to the populace of Bukit Ceylon’s Verticas Residensi and Lanson Place, but it won’t refuse the rest of us who covet a respite from urban claustrophobia. Register with Verticas’ security staff – easy and efficient – and take the elevator to the fifth floor for a slice of family-friendly serenity in the sky.
The Kitchen Project represents a new initiative by a team of collaborators who include the trusted talents behind Sri Hartamas’ Tray Cafe, supplying cafe-running services to condominiums and serviced apartments.
If this first salvo is any indication, high-rise denizens across KL should demand The Kitchen Project’s presence in their buildings – expect feel-good food, from Vietnamese-inspired grilled chicken ciabatta sandwiches (RM17) to vegetarian penne with house-made pesto (RM17) and baked fare like passion fruit Bundt cakes, fuelled by fresh, lively flavours.
A retail section offers goodies galore for purchase, including expatriate chef Sapna Anand’s bottled spices, Taman Hati’s succulents and The Sanctuary’s hand-poured candles.
