Bingsu, the beloved Korean shaved ice dessert, has been sweetening up the Klang Valley’s F&B scene in recent months. Here are six contemporary Korean cafes where customers can chill out with this frosty treat.
OW:L’s bingsu is indulgently smooth and well-tuned in flavour. Varieties include Injeolmi with glutinous rice cakes, Milk Fat, Cookies & Cream or Yoghurt & Fruit. Coffee lovers should enjoy this unique cross between bingsu and affogato, crowned not only with azuki beans but ice cream, and served with a shot of espresso. RM14 for a ‘small’ that two can easily share.
Address: A-02-1 (1st Floor), Menara Rajawali, Jalan SS15/8

Bingsu is served in fun ways at Dal.Komm; the most striking might be this one, with a hot, freshly made chocolate lava cake to contrast with the rest of the frosty components, which include a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Also photogenic: Dal.Komm’sbingsu topped with lemon or blueberry tarts, for fans who like tangy-fruity flavours.

We’re intrigued by Seoul Bing’s Mango Cheese Bingsu, which looks to be topped with lots of juicy-looking mango combined with melted cheese. Seoul Bing is at G-46, PV128, Jalan Genting Klang.
