The revitalisation of The Row is now in full swing, thanks to League of Captains, which is spearheaded by local clothing label Pestle & Mortar. The venue’s name is an homage to two of barista Danial’s favourite Melbourne cafes, though it also reflects its founders’ ethos & aspirations.

It’s been many months in the making, but Ribs At The Burgeon is finally open – founders Seth & Ray & their terrific team have carved out a contemporary barbecue restaurant & whiskey bar in the suburbs that’s boldly ambitious & distinctively appealing. This is one of 2015’s most commanding new restaurants.

This little shop could become a big attraction, run by friendly couple Andrew & Jenny, whose retirement from the corporate world has opened up a new chapter in their lives. This month, they’ve launched a cafe on a hidden corner, serving a cherished speciality of Andrew’s hometown, Kota Kinabalu – Sabah’s ‘ngiu chap,’ or mixed beef noodles.

Project B is a new eatery that encapsulates the soul of social enterprise – it marks the first F&B initiative by Malaysia’s Dignity For Children foundation.
