Promotion: On Saturday, 23rd August, sandwich-lovers can feast on seven variations of the Danish smørrebrød that were recently introduced to the menu at Thirdwave; one of KL’s best cafés, located in Bangsar South. These traditional open-faced sandwiches feature 100 percent dark rye bread, baked on-site, covered entirely with generous toppings, lots of vegetables, fresh herbs and a myriad of house-made sauces. Varieties comprise Poached Chat Potato, Avocado and Egg, Mayo Chicken with Rose Apple, Roast Beef, Grilled Honeyed Fish, Beetroot-Citrus Cured Salmon and The Shooting Star (cured salmon, white fish, squid, prawns). The party kicks off at 12-noon and will last until ingredients run out for the day, so get yourself down there promptly or you’ll miss out on free sandwiches for all!
