Zest Patisserie tries to tackle French-inspired gateaux, made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients like Elle & Vire cooking cream (which contributes to the cost of each cake, hovering between the RM13-RM16 range).
Creations include vanilla sponge with white chocolate thyme mousse and kumquat coulis; chocolate sponge with choc mousse, choc cremeaux and hazelnut feuilletine; matcha dacquiose with coconut mousse and passionfruit cremeux; pear mousse tarts with caramel cremeux; or choux with rose cream, lychee jelly and raspberry crisps – not the typical cakes seen in this neighbourhood.
