W2 Coffee Co at Sogo: Snapshot

Here’s a bright idea: A cosy caffeine bar in the middle of one of downtown KL’s busiest department stores, promising a little haven for espresso-based beverages and filtered coffee, conscientiously prepared by friendly Malaysian baristas who’ve been inspired partly by London’s cafe culture (the name W2 is a nod to the Westminster postcode district).

The familiar flavours of the Klang Valley still shine through here though on Sogo’s third-floor Fashion Arena, with Setiawangsa-sourced nasi lemak, plus toasted sandwiches and crowd-pleasing cakes, to satiate Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman’s starving shoppers and office workers.
