Homuri Homemade Desserts at The Starling, Damansara Uptown: Snapshot

Kids will love this place: Check out Homuri’s colourfully unique Rubix Konjac, a chilled jelly-like dessert comprising small cubes of densely gelatinous konjac, put together into one large Rubik’s Cube, with each hue representing a yogurt-based fruit flavour, from mixed berries, mango, peach or passion fruit to dragon fruit, apple, kiwifruit or lychee. Each preservative-free, made-from-natural-ingredients serving (RM23.90) is enough for three to four patrons to share.

Homuri is located beside an indoor ball pit playground at The Starling mall, so children can easily burn off the calories from indulgences like scoops of ice cream in varieties like Unicorn (also fruity) and Peanut Butter Jelly (RM6.90). You’ll also find everything from brownies, pies and cookies to ‘cake toasts’ that look like a freshly baked cake spin-off from honey toasts.

Savoury meals are on the menu too, including basic curry rice and sushi. Service is warm and pleasant.
