Review: WIP on the Park
April 28th, 2025
Sniffing out the scent of coffee in Seremban, a change of scene that’s only an hour’s drive from KL.
The Coffeeholic’s a relatively recent entry, a spacious spot on a street of shop-houses, supremely calm on a weekday afternoon.
The Coffeeholic serves a very satisfying toast, packed with both peanut butter and Nutella. RM6 nett (!!!).
Charcoal bamboo mille crepe, a likeable choice for dessert-seekers. RM9.50.
Drip house blend, RM10, combining Colombian, Sumatran, Brazilian & Guatemalan.
The Coffeeholic (RM9). Espresso with condensed milk and cocoa. Interesting creation.
Barely a 10-minute drive from The Coffeeholic, there’s La Roasteria …
.. a cafe that shares a site with a fitness centre for a double-shot of caffeine and
endorphins.
Egg & mayo in ciabatta. Turns out exactly how customers might expect this to.
French Toast, hefty with sugar and starch; perhaps not a compelling reason to head to Seremban, but fine if you’re already here.
Scones and cakes, all available. Perhaps the only real surprise: the service teams at both these outlets were strangely aloof.
La Roasteria’s coffee lacks the finesse that some customers might demand …
… while its affogato could probably benefit from better ice cream.
