Review: WIP on the Park
April 28th, 2025
Baba Kuat’s Seremban-born Peranakan founder Cheong Wai is flexing his culinary muscles with a sturdy selection of Asian-inflected rice bowl recipes at this likable little hideout – luscious salmon belly is combined with cucumbers, spring onions and a fried egg on a warm bed of sesame-sprinkled rice for a comfort-food lunch (RM20)…
…while stir-fried clams come spiced up with a surreptitiously fiery chilli sauce, balanced with edamame and more egg for metabolism-moving fare (RM15).
Take the bowl out to the leafy, contemplative second-floor courtyard of Menara PJ8 and savour this freshly prepared meal on one of the benches.
