Returning to Yutaka at Solaris Mont Kiara. Earlier entry: April 9th.
Taking a risk on the RM180+ chef’s selection of sashimi might pay off …
… with nine varieties of seafood, each served in tantalizing threesomes …
… that might surface in the shape of tuna belly …
… or shrimp, scallops, amberjack and all manner of finny fish …
… including the likes of salmon, both the belly …
… as well as its explode-in-the-mouth roe.
Yukata’s chef isn’t Japanese (he’s ethnic Chinese), but we can’t tell. Not based on the food.
Note that Yutaka is a pork-loving outlet, also serving everything from pork skewers to tonkatsu.
Speaking of skewers, here are some belly-good helpings, terrific tuna belly …
… and a succulent salmon one, made tangy with a little bit of lemon.
Sake or green tea? We know which one we’re choosing.
Bonus booze: Suzune Wabi sparkling sake. Only 5 percent alcohol, practically beer-like, but more practically, better than nothing.
