CNY 2025 Round-Up: The Year of the Snake Begins Soon!
January 13th, 2025
This new venue is one to watch: Tiki Taka is a handsomely sleek hangout that ambitiously tackles mainly Asian-accented tapas. On a cool night, its alfresco section makes for a breezy and beautiful setting for wining and dining in Bukit Damansara.
The kitchen puts playful twists on petite samplings – Singapore-style chilli prawns in a sweet-spicy, dunk-worthy sauce with fried mantous (RM24), an Indian-inflected dabeli tart with a warm centre of creamy masala potatoes crowned with crunchy pomegranates, celery and coriander (RM6), steamed turmeric rice made flavoursome with minced pork, garlic sauce and pickled shallots (RM15) and an eight-inch char siu pork pizza rich with cheddar, mozzarella, BBQ sauce, kyuri and spring onions (RM20).
Our favourite indulgences here so far are the tartine topped with grilled bacon and Nutella, a terrific combo enhanced further with truffled honey, walnuts, blueberries and caramelised banana (RM6) and the ais kacang-inspired refreshing bowl of coconut ice cream and mango sorbet in pandan palm sugar syrup with buttered popcorn, toasted coconut flakes and fruits (RM12).
The menu is still being expanded, with more intriguing items to come, so expect to hear a heap about Tiki Taka in the months ahead.
