Life is Peachy with Edelweiss Peach

Our favourite street for food in Taman Desa welcomes the neighbourhood’s newest Thai restaurant – Moobaan Thai offers a promising mix of crowd-pleasing classics, with a kitchen helmed by a chef from Chiang Rai. We tried the som tam (RM8; pungent & pretty fiery), the tom yam clear soup kuey teow (RM8; soul food for a stormy evening) & the stewed pork leg (RM15; tender & sweetly fleshy) – satisfactory enough for us to contemplate returning for the northern Thai-style fried chicken (RM12), kuey chap (RM8) & pad thai (RM10) – prices won’t hurt the wallet here. The setting is pleasantly cheerful & colourful, showcasing pieces that Moobaan Thai’s Malaysian founders purchased from Bangkok’s Chatuchak weekend market.
