Live-cooking counters and piping hot made-to-order dishes present a feast for the senses. In addition to a lavish spread of Malay, Indian, Japanese, and Western fare, Chef Teh–the hotel’s Chinese banquet chef, has whipped up a host of sumptuous Chinese dishes for this festive season.
From 26 January to 19 February 2019 (except 14 February 2019), Latest Recipe will feature different Chinese specialties throughout the week to offer a wider variety. Guests can expect a wide range of traditional favourites such as roasted Chinese 5-spices duck with spicy sauce, wok-fried prawns with butter cream sauce, oven baked spring chicken with Mongolian sauce, braised black moss and sea cucumber with broccoli, steamed Pomfret with Teochew style sauce, stir-fried spicy chili crab, San Xi braised lamb shoulder with white radish, shallots and carrots, assorted steamed, deep-fried and baked dim sum selections, and more.
The buffet selections will have three different rotation menus and an array of fresh ‘Yee Sang’ selections. They include Yee Sang with sliced clams, Yee Sang with abalone, Yee Sang with sliced tuna, Yee Sang with Salmon, and Yee Sang with Jellyfish. On 4 February 2019, Latest Recipe will also be serving a Chinese New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner.
The Chinese New Year buffet dinner is priced at RM 153 nett (adult), and RM 76.50 nett child, from Monday to Thursday; and RM 165 nett (adult), and RM 82.50 nett (child), for those wishing to dine in from Friday to Sunday. For Chinese New Year’s Eve, the buffet dinner is priced at RM 198 nett (adult), and RM 99 nett (child).
Special ‘Yee Sang’ selections are priced as follows:
Yee Sang with sliced clam and abalone at RM 320 nett
Yee Sang with sliced tuna at RM 230 nett
Yee Sang with salmon at RM 230 nett
Yee Sang with jellyfish at RM 200 nett
Larger groups can also opt for the ‘Great Prosperity Chinese New Year’ Set Menu which is available from 1 January to 28 February 2019. Starting from RM 1,800++ per table of 10 people, it includes the following:-
• 8-course ‘Great Prosperity Chinese New Year’ set menu with Yee Sang
• Complimentary one day-use room
• Free flow of Sjora juice for a maximum of four hours
• Waiver of corkage for up to two bottles of hard liquor or wine
• Complimentary basic sound system with one cordless microphone
• Two complimentary room nights with two daily breakfasts, upon confirmation of a minimum of 15 tables of 10 people (subject to availability)
• Special room rates starting from RM 380++ per room per night with one daily breakfast
On the first day of Chinese New Year, 5 February 2019, guests can witness a special acrobatic lion dance performance by award-winning Kwong Ngai Lion Dance Troupe at the hotel’s porte cochere from 11am onwards.
