2. Orchid Conservatory at Majestic Hotel

Built in 1903, renovated and then reopened in 2012, the Majestic Hotel is an iconic building in KL. The Orchid Conservatory is a bright dining area for afternoon tea and special events, with orchids as the main attraction. The high tea served here is a Malaysian-themed one called ‘In the Know’ which celebrates the diversity of Malaysia’s culinary traditions. This high-tea is available only until 31st December 2016.

The afternoon tea menu showcases 60 different premium teas plus cocktails, coffees, and juices. The English Afternoon Tea features dainty sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a platter of tarts, cakes, and macaroons. Indulge in one of two afternoon tea selections: the Selera afternoon tea is Malaysian-inspired with mini beef rendang burgers, butter prawn saffron rolls, and other tasty bites featuring Malaysia’s favourite flavours like durian eclairs. The Royal is a traditional English tea with scones, pastries, and savoury bites like salmon and caviar crostinis.
