2. Orchid Conservatory at Majestic Hotel

Built in 1903, renovated and then reopened in 2012, the Majestic Hotel is an iconic building in KL. The Orchid Conservatory is a bright dining area for afternoon tea and special events, with orchids as the main attraction. Make sure to call in advance for a reservation since the venue is almost always fully-booked.

3. Serena Brasserie at InterContinental Hotel

The high tea served here is a Malaysian-themed one called ‘In the Know’ which celebrates the diversity of Malaysia’s culinary traditions. This high-tea is available only until 31st December 2016.

4. Lounge on the Park at Mandarin Oriental

The afternoon tea menu showcases 60 different premium teas plus cocktails, coffees, and juices. The English Afternoon Tea features dainty sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a platter of tarts, cakes, and macaroons. For the adventurous, you can check out Lounge on the Park’s Afternoon Tea special menus prepared by different chefs revolving around a variety of themes.

5. OneSixFive at InterContinental Hotel

Indulge in one of two afternoon tea selections: the Selera afternoon tea is Malaysian-inspired with mini beef rendang burgers, butter prawn saffron rolls, and other tasty bites featuring Malaysia’s favourite flavours like durian eclairs. The Royal is a traditional English tea with scones, pastries, and savoury bites like salmon and caviar crostinis. These are only available until 31 December 2016 but a new afternoon promotion should follow soon.

6. Thirty8 at Grand Hyatt

Choose either the Elegant Afternoon High Tea set, available on Mondays to Thursdays, or the ‘High on Sugar’ Afternoon Tea Buffet, available Fridays to Sundays as well as public holidays. The menu highlights a selection of traditional English tea while featuring delicious tea-time items such as sandwiches, homemade scones, freshly baked cakes, pastries and more.
