Attic Brew at SS2 Petaling Jaya: Cafe review

A plate of pasta, a cup of coffee, a slice of serenity: All verifiably valid reasons to visit this comfortably spacious, pet-friendly cafe on the first floor of an SS2 shop-house.

Siu yok pasta

The food features notable flourishes – spaghetti comes with siu yok and Thai basil, the firm strands lightly seasoned aglio olio-style, with most of the flavour emanating from the savoury roast pork (RM20).

Seafood risotto

The seafood risotto is interesting; at first bite, the rice may seem over-cooked, but the soft, creamy texture works in this context, complemented with loads of scallops, crab claw meat and shimeji mushrooms for a satisfyingly flavoursome meal (RM27). And any cafe that doles out a decent piccolo latte is doing something right – not a bad spot to spend a lazy afternoon.
