6 Japanese Buffet Restaurants to Visit in Kuala Lumpur

Buffets are fun to explore, especially if you have a good (or big) appetite.  If you are looking for a good spot to indulge in some scrumptious Japanese food buffet-style, check out the six listed below.

1. Makishima

1 Makishima

Makishima is located on the second floor of the Sheraton Imperial Hotel. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner between Mondays and Fridays. The restaurant, helmed by Chef Nobuo Tanimonto, has a Zen-inspired Japanese garden and koi pond making it a refreshing place to dine at. Makishima’s buffet is on every Saturday for dinner from 6pm-10pm, and is priced at RM85++.

2. Hanare

Hanare, located on the ground floor of The Intermark, serves authentic, seasonal Japanese cuisine. The produce are hand-picked and flown in from the Tsukiji Market in Tokyo. The buffet is available on weekends for lunch between 12pm and 2.30pm, and is priced at RM148++ per person.

3. Kampachi

2 Kampachi Jaya 33

Kampachi is another popular Japanese restaurant with a pretty good buffet. The restaurant has outlets in a number of places, including The Troika, Pavilion and Plaza33. The buffet is on every Sunday at The Troika from 11am to 2.45pm, and is priced at RM150++ per person. The buffet is also available at Kampachi’s Plaza33 outlet on Sundays for lunch, also at RM150++ per person.

4. Xenri

12 Xenri Menara Hap Seng

Xenri’s freshness and variety of items on the menu is impressive and guests can satisfy their hunger by dining on sushi, tempuras, grilled dishes and more. Xenri’s lunch buffet is available every Sunday at Xenri D’River View and is priced at RM55++, while their dinner buffet is on Saturday at Xenri D’Garden Terrace and is priced at RM68++.

5. Kingyo

1 Kingyo

Kingyo Japanese Cuisine is located at the KL Life Centre. The staff at Kingyo used to work at another Japanese restaurant at KL’s Equatorial Hotel. Kingyo’s buffet is on every weekend for lunch only, between 12pm and 2.30pm. The buffet is priced at RM68++.

6. Tatsu Japanese Cuisine

Located at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Tatsu Japanese Cuisine has a new buffet promotion priced at RM118 per person. The restaurant has a pretty good ambience, which is great for enjoying a scrumptious meal with friends and family. The buffet is on for lunch and dinner on weekends and public holidays.
