Twenty Eight Telawi at Bangsar: Snapshot

Granada-born chef Javier maintains an affable presence at Telawi’s latest restaurant, where small plates might be the order of the day, evoking the tapas of Javier’s homeland.

The menu was a work in progress when we visited, but customers can expect a touch of casual sophistication in potential offerings like pork rillettes with grilled bread and kitchen-made mustard; jamon iberico wrapped around hollow baguettes; intensely addictive croquettes, served crisp and steaming-hot with a stuffing of ham and cream; salmon cornets; and a ceviche of fish and prawns sourced from Pulau Ketam, with prices hovering around the RM25 mark.

Twenty Eight seems to promote intriguing wines too, with Greek house pours, including the Agiorgitiko red varietal, recently available.
