Rock Bottom Kitchen and Bar Bangsar opened its doors just last year, but has already won the hearts (and bellies) of many. Its concept is bold, combining a sports bar setting with European and North Indian cuisine. For extra flavour, live rock band performances take place there too. The man behind all this is Leslie Gomez,

Founder and Managing Director of The Olive Tree Group, to which Rock Bottom Bangsar belongs. On one of our recent trips to Rock Bottom Bangsar, we managed a quick chat with Leslie.

Referring to the successful older brother, Rock Bottom Kitchen and Bar Changkat, we asked Leslie what made him choose Bangsar Baru as the second location for the chain. “Bangsar’s a place that combines leisure, work, and residential properties all under one roof,” he said. People go to the area for so many reasons, and that makes it a very ideal location for the restaurants and stores.

Parking in the area is a perpetual challenge, but Rock Bottom Bangsar serves up some great happy hour beer promotions that might just cheer you up. When asked what is special about Rock Bottom Bangsar and the eight other restaurants under The Olive Tree Group, Leslie answered,

“We focus on establishing superior dining and lifestyle facilities in prime locations. Our aim is to offer a high-quality dining experience in a friendly, relaxed environment.” It’s also important to them that customers perceive their food and service as value for money. The ultimate objective however, is to achieve total satisfaction from their customers.
