The Picnic Table is a cerulean-coloured cafe spearheaded by the people behind KL’s Simply Sandwiches caterers.

The Sandwiches

The Picnic Table’s coolest feature might be its decor, which brings the cafe’s name vividly to life, but its sandwiches prove worthwhile too, bristling with the likes of flavoursome garlic butter prawns (RM12) & grilled chicken with cheese (RM11.50).

Besides the scrumptious sandwiches, there’s also a satisfactory selection of fresh-tasting cakes, washed down with well-tuned cold-pressed juices by Shoots & Co (RM10 each; we like the creamy, not-too-sweet combo of banana, milk, dates & cinnamon, though the invigorating blend of pineapple, celery, carrot & ginger comes a close second) & peanut butter lattes.
