Hosting a soiree and wondering what to serve? Two young and talented Malaysian cooks hope to save your evening – their new initiative, named Monday Night Rescue Dinners, delivers ready-to-eat feasts that can be tailored specially for your gathering.
Thanks to MNRD for this sampling from their current Christmas Bundle, with a centrepiece of five-hour slow-cooked roast pork shoulder, stuffed with portobello mushrooms, rosemary and garlic – a hit with everyone at the table, thanks to its irreproachably tender flesh and irresistibly crunchy crackling, buoyed by onion gravy with drippings, showcasing how MNRD means business.
The pork shoulder can be ordered on its own or as part of a Feast Bundle that’s meant for six to eight persons. Natural mashed potatoes with gravy and sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce complemented the meal well; the complete Christmas menu also comprises temptations including bacon-wrapped apple-and-pork stuffing; a DIY fondue of camembert, fruits, nuts and sourdough slices; butternut squash; and braised buttered purple cabbage, which Monday Night Rescue Dinners aims to serve for house and office parties throughout December.
Delivery is free within the Klang Valley, with orders to be placed at least three days in advance. Check out facebook.com/mnrdmy for more details and to contact Monday Night Rescue Dinners.
