FujiYama at Damansara Uptown: Snapshot

Seeking to fashion food into modern art, FujiYama’s forte and flair rest in elaborate, eye-catching sushi rolls – snow crab, tempura chicken and cream cheese are wrapped in rice and heaped high in a tangle of deep-fried potato strips, encircled by a colourful, sweet-sticky sauce (RM28.80), while tuna-bundled sushi is stuffed with crab meat and avocado, surrounding the restaurant’s signature fruity yuzu sauce (RM38.80). Fundamentally fun and flavoursome fare, perhaps best enjoyed if not taken too seriously.
