Fratello Italiano at Bangsar South: 2016 Christmas turkey

This year’s Christmas turkey, settled: Bangsar South’s Fratello Italiano is offering a five-kilogramme stuffed roast that would easily feed at least 10 hungry people, served in a takeaway basket that’s bursting with grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes.

The folks here are experienced hands at roasting turkeys, having fine-tuned their recipe and sold hundreds of birds in the past decade. This massive imported U.S.-bred turkey is halal-certified, offered at RM388+ throughout this month and into the new year, placed in a basket that’s ideal for bringing home or presenting as a gift, with a savoury turkey reduction brown sauce and cranberry sauce. Place your order at least three to five days in advance, pay a full deposit and collect the turkey at Fratello.

The turkey is slow-roasted for six hours on the day of collection, continuously basted to ensure it remains thoroughly moist. You’ll receive it warm and fresh, with a layer of garlicky stuffing beneath the breast skin for extra tenderness. The main stuffing in the cavity of the bird is a flavourful mix of carrots, nuts and more; we recommend adding chestnuts for only RM10+. It’s a genuine feast of fowl, surrounded by comforting chunks of pumpkin, carrots, peppers and potatoes – we ended up having more than enough turkey for multiple meals.
